- As a consultant, I provided guidance on all animal departments, including cetaceans, pinnipeds, terrestrial animals, and the aquarium.
- The development of all departments and trainers was a crucial part of my role, which involved training in animal management, animal training (operant conditioning), weight and diet management, daily operation of shows, communication, cooperation, collaboration, and problem solving.
- In addition to providing training, I also assessed facilities, animal shows, and animal programs to recommend improvements. Some of these improvements included creating a new shark feeding program, introducing a new terrestrial show, designing and building a fish spa with a capacity of 15, and developing a new insect section within the park.
- To promote teamwork among trainers, encourage constructive criticism, and provide a protocol for conflict resolution, I implemented a communication methodology that included daily exercises such as the “good thing – bad thing” exercise.
